Most solar companies pay the person who refers. We do it differently. With our Neighbor Discount program, the savings go directly to the person being referred — your neighbor, friend, or family member. When they mention your name, they receive a discount on their solar installation.
It's our way of saying thank you to the communities that trust us. And it's why our strongest growth comes from neighborhoods where we've already installed.
Ask About the Neighbor DiscountWe serve all of San Diego County, from Oceanside and Carlsbad in the north to Chula Vista and National City in the south, and everywhere in between. If you live in San Diego County, we can install solar on your home. We’ve completed over 2,000 projects across every major neighborhood in the region.
San Diego County has excellent solar conditions throughout, but microclimates do vary. Coastal areas like Del Mar and La Jolla may have occasional morning fog, while inland areas like Poway and Escondido get more direct sun. Our design team accounts for your specific location’s solar irradiance, roof orientation, and shading to maximize your system’s output.
Yes. California’s Solar Rights Act (AB 2188) protects your right to install solar, but HOAs can still have aesthetic guidelines. We’ve navigated HOA requirements across San Diego for 30 years and handle all documentation, design compliance, and approval submissions on your behalf.
Unlike traditional referral programs that pay the person referring, our Neighbor Discount gives the savings directly to the person being referred. When your neighbor, friend, or family member mentions your name, they receive a discount on their solar installation. It’s our way of saying thank you to the communities that trust us.
Absolutely. We’re one of the few San Diego solar companies with in-house roofing crews. If your roof needs work before solar installation, we handle everything under one contract with one warranty. This saves you time, money, and the headache of coordinating multiple contractors.
No. Our pricing is the same whether you're in Carlsbad, La Jolla, Poway, or Chula Vista — there are no “distance fees” or travel surcharges anywhere within San Diego County. Our crews start their day at our home base and we factor in standard county-wide travel as part of the project. The price you see in your quote is the final price.
On-site installation time is similar countywide — typically 1–3 days for residential solar regardless of location. What varies is the permit timeline: City of San Diego averages 2–3 weeks, while smaller jurisdictions like Del Mar, Solana Beach, or Coronado can be faster (1–2 weeks). Unincorporated county areas (e.g. Rancho Santa Fe, parts of Poway) follow San Diego County DPW timelines.
Solar works well across virtually all of San Diego County thanks to our 266 average sunny days. The only situations where we recommend reconsidering are: heavily north-facing roofs with no usable south, west, or east exposure; properties with severe permanent shading from large trees the homeowner won’t trim; or homes scheduled for major renovation within 2–3 years that would require system removal. We tell you upfront if your property isn’t a good fit.
